Enterprise Single Sign-On
In most companies, forgotten passwords are encountered on a daily basis. Instead of taking it directly to the administrator, employees will typically try to access the system using all kinds of probable and improbable combinations so they can actually start to work. If this fails, they will still need to call the help desk for support. More valuable working time is wasted before one of the administrators will have time to look into the problem and then reset the password(s) so that the employee can access relevant data or information.
Too Many Passwords to Remember
Multiple logon procedures with different username and password combinations are a productivity-sapping inconvenience for your company's employees. And they are also a security risk: studies have shown that users often write down password or select easy-to remember passwords such as the name of a child or pet. Gartner assumes that a user will call the company help desk up to 19 times per year, frequently as a result of password issues (Gartner). If there are several hundred employees, the amount of time and money spent on password resetting adds up very quickly.
Reduce Cost through Greater Productivity
Single Sign-On technology promotes greater productivity by giving users access to all the IT resources they need after logging on just once. No one has to remember multiple passwords, there are far fewer calls to the helpdesk for password assistance and security is greatly improved as users find it easier to adhere corporate password policy. Single-Sign-On can be integrated with smartcards and USB tokens.
