That applies especially to mobile devices which bring a higher risk of unauthorized access and breaching of confidential information. Secure Device creates an encrypted area called a Secure Vault on your hard drive or external mass storage device to protect data from unauthorized access in case of loss or theft. Data copied into the Secure Vault gets automatically encrypted. Accessing the Secure Vault requires prior password authentication.
